A Vietnam War veteran made his last wish before dying in a hospice: to see and kiss his beloved dog for the last time.

The 96-year-old former Marine John Vincent fought in Vietnam.

The veteran had no family but his loyal and lovely canine friend Patch. But when John’s health deteriorated he was taken to the hospital and his dog was taken by Animal Protection.Soon the man felt even worse and the doctors told him that

he had very little time left. So he made his last wish. It was to see his loyal friend Patch for the very last time.So the director of Animal Protection made all the necessary preparations for their meeting.

It was one of the most touching farewells that the hospital staff and the shelter staff have ever seen. The Patch was returned to the shelter where he enjoyed his time. Soon the shelter found a new owner for the dog.
